This Risk Disclosure forms part of our Terms and conditions, together with the General Terms of Use, the Trading Terms, and the Funds and Transfers Terms. By opening an account and using Traxevo, you confirm that you have read this document and understand the risks set out below.
1 General risks
You may lose all the money you invest. You should not trade or invest money that you cannot afford to lose.
Returns and losses vary based on market behaviour and trade size. Synthetic markets can be volatile and unpredictable, with rapid price changes within very short timeframes.
Our Services are offered on an execution-only basis. Traxevo does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice on the merits of any transaction.
Information published on our Website, blog, help centre, or social media channels is intended to help you make your own independent trading decisions. It does not take into account your personal circumstances and should not be treated as a personal recommendation.
Traxevo makes no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of information we provide. Past performance is not a guarantee of future performance or a reliable guide to future performance.
Trading conditions, products, and platform features may vary depending on your country of residence and our internal risk policies.
The decision to open an account, deposit funds, and place trades is entirely yours. You must monitor your positions carefully and make all trading decisions independently.
Trading on Traxevo exposes you to the performance of the underlying synthetic instrument. You should understand how that instrument is generated and how its price behaves before placing any trade.
Simulated prices may move rapidly and unpredictably. No trade placed on our Platform can be considered a safe trade.
Synthetic instruments represent a notional value only. A position held through Traxevo gives you no right, title, or interest in any real-world financial instrument, share, commodity, index, currency, or digital asset.
All trades on Traxevo are placed against Traxevo as counterparty on an over-the-counter (OTC) basis. This exposes you to counterparty risk and to substantially different protections than those applicable to exchange-traded investments.
Traxevo is both the manufacturer and the distributor of the synthetic instruments it offers.
Market prices change very rapidly. The price at which an order is ultimately executed may not be the last price that was visible to you on the Platform before the order was submitted.
The value of your open positions and your account balance may decrease or increase.
You must monitor your positions closely and make sure there is sufficient margin in your account to maintain them. Traxevo has no obligation to notify you before a position is closed because of insufficient funds.
Traxevo may hold information about the Platform and its instruments that is not available to you. We are under no obligation to share that information, to explain our pricing models, or to intervene in your trading.
You are solely responsible for complying with any tax and legal obligations that apply to you. Traxevo does not provide regulatory, tax, or legal advice.
If you are not certain that you understand our products or the risks they carry, you should seek independent professional advice before opening an account. Do not place any trade until you understand the risks involved.
2 Synthetic-market trading risks
Synthetic-market products are complex instruments. Where leverage is offered, there is a high risk of losing money rapidly.
Prices of our synthetic instruments are generated by cryptographically secure random-number algorithms and may fluctuate rapidly and widely. You may lose the entire amount that you have invested, and where leverage is used, your loss may in some cases exceed the amount originally committed.
Lower leverage increases the margin that is required to open and maintain a position. Leverage amplifies returns relative to your margin, but it amplifies losses in the same way. A small adverse movement can result in a total loss of your margin.
Orders are filled on a first-in, first-out basis and their execution is subject to available liquidity and market conditions. During periods of rapid movement, stop-loss and similar orders may not limit your losses to the level you intended because market conditions may make it impossible to execute those orders at the requested price.
Traxevo will attempt to close positions when your margin reaches the stop-out level published on the Platform. Closure at or near that level is not guaranteed, and you may be required to deposit additional funds to cover any negative balance that remains.
Synthetic-instrument contracts typically do not have a fixed maturity date and are not suitable as long-term investments. The cost of holding a position usually increases the longer it is kept open.
Certain products — for example, contracts offering multipliers, accumulators, or similar amplified payouts — can produce outsized gains and losses from even small movements in the underlying synthetic index. You should not trade these products unless you have read the product description, understand the payout formula, and accept that you may lose the entire amount staked.
Because synthetic indices are simulated, they are not subject to the fundamental drivers (economic data, earnings, physical supply) that move real markets. This does not make them lower risk — their price paths are engineered to exhibit features such as volatility spikes, trends, and sudden reversals, and can differ materially from any real-world index.
3 Operational risks
Internet-based trading systems are subject to hardware, software, and connection failures. Traxevo does not control the power, routing, or configuration of the networks and equipment you use to connect to the Platform.
You accept the risks that arise from:
Hardware, software, or power failures on the devices you use to access the Platform;
Incorrect device or browser settings;
Device malfunctions or the failure of third-party applications you use alongside the Platform; and
Low-quality or intermittent communication channels, including mobile data, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections.
You accept the risks associated with unauthorised third-party access to your account, including as a result of phishing, malware, shoulder-surfing, or the re-use of weak or compromised passwords.
Traxevo is not responsible for communications that are sent but not received by you in a timely manner due to factors outside our control, including email provider filtering, SMS delivery failures, and network outages.
Traxevo bears no responsibility for information that is transmitted in an unencrypted form and becomes accessible to unauthorised persons as a result.
During force majeure events, as described in the General Terms of Use, there is a heightened risk of loss. Traxevo will not be liable for losses that arise during, or as a result of, such events.
